My name is Rob Bartlett, and my story begins in Germany, where my parents met. My mother was born in East Germany, and she was lucky enough to escape to the West right before the wall that separated Germany for decades was constructed. There she met my father, who was stationed there with the U.S. Army. They moved to Rockland, Maine when I was 3 years old, and I grew up with that state’s deep, dense forests, towering mountains and rocky coasts as my backdrop.
When I was 16 years old, my father gave me a Canon camera as a birthday gift. I was hooked ever since. I graduated from the Hallmark Institute of Photography, and I’ve been a professional photographer for more than 24 years.
I’ve run a portrait studio, photographed antique dolls for an auction house, shot for the Baltimore Ravens, and I’ve even been lucky enough to document dozens of Orlando’s small businesses, restaurants and cultural icons for the local media.
I’ve told you my story. Now let me help you tell yours.
